services

therapy

from a meaning-centered approach

We provide services…

  • …for adults, couples, and families, as well as children and adolescents.
  • …through individual and group sessions, and phone and online consultations.
  • …in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua/Mandarin.

Our practice is known as meaning therapy (MT) or meaning-centered counselling and therapy (MCCT). MT is an evidence-based, existential positive psychotherapy by virtue of its embracing both the dark side of life and the bright prospect of personal growth regardless of one’s past circumstances and present situations.

MT is also pluralistic and integrative, because it incorporates other modalities, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, logotherapy, humanistic-existential therapy, positive psychotherapy, and cross-cultural therapy.

Learn more about MT from our “About” page.

We are committed to facilitating our clients’ personal journey from healing to thriving in a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment. Our dual focus on both clients’ signature strengths and broken areas is designed to optimize the therapeutic process.

We provide psychological assessments of deficiencies and disorders, as well as well-being and personal strengths. Through guidance and psycho-education, our clients learn efficient coping skills as well as pathways to inner peace, freedom, courage, and wisdom.

We address clinical issues of depression, anxiety, stress, pain, injury, abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, adjustment problems, relational difficulties, grieving, rehabilitation, mid-life crisis, aging, and terminal illness. At the same time, we facilitate the discovery and fulfillment of clients’ potentials for achieving personal growth and developing a preferred future.
